I had been wanting to visit London for most of my life and finally had the opportunity to do so in May of 2022. It was a trip years in the making and delayed due to Covid-19’s grip on the world. Of course I was eager to get out to the streets for some art hunting and, while I didn’t have as much time as I’d have liked, London did not disappoint. I’m looking forward to returning and having more time to explore.

Walking around historic Bristol was loads of fun, and while some of the street art was a bit hard to find (or recently covered up) I found more than enough to tickle my imagination. Here, of course, Banksy grew up and got his start, but I found a lot more of interest during my crawl.

Sydney is bursting with amazing street art. Many of these shots are from my second trip and represent my dawning interest in exploring cities looking for ephemeral artwork. The first few were shot mostly in Newtown and Darlinghurst, with a smattering from Bondi and points in between. In some of my later trips, I’ve also started trying to find artwork outside of Sydney proper, so there are a few shots from around NSW as well.

It has been a few years since my previous trips (2016-2019) and though much has stayed the same, there is quite a lot of new art on the streets of Sydney. It was a great joy to spend a few days walking around this beautiful city and I’m very hopeful I’ll be back soon!

Barcelona is a fascinating city, with an interesting, yet hard-to-find street art culture. From what I can tell, there is a bit of a battle going on between the artists and those who are out to erase their work from the streets. I stumbled upon quite a few spots that had been recently whitewashed, as well as some havens for protected works. The style and vibrancy of the artwork I did find made the search worthwhile, and of course, it's the hunt that's half the fun anyway.

The city by the bay! San Francisco (or SF, but never, ever San Fran) is one of my favorite cities and was my home for almost seven years. I go back often, and there is a wealth of street art there that I'd love to continue to find and capture during my visits. I expect this gallery to grow fairly large over time as I add to my collection.

What can I say? Austin is my current hometown, the live music capital of the world, home to SXSW and a huge creative community. I've not lived here all that long (at the time of this writing) and so I'm still sort of feeling things out as far as street art goes, so expect this page to grow as time goes on.

Chicago is one of my favorite cities. It's vibrant, sprawling and full of interesting things to see, places to eat and drink and people to meet. It's well known for baseball, music festivals, crazy weather and amazing architecture. It also boasts a staggering amount of street art, some of which I've able to capture. I'm looking forward to getting back there and exploring more, so keep an eye on this page.

Seattle! I spent most of my life living in this beautiful city and I'm so excited to have had a chance to shoot some of the amazing street art that's showing up around town. I spent a lot of time seeking out hidden gems in Belltown, but I'm really excited about all the art popping up down by Pioneer Square, especially the Sodo Track which will be a fun one to watch grow.

I love New York and Brooklyn and there is so much street artistry there I can't wait to find and capture. I think I could spend months there and not find all the good stuff. When I began this project I'd been once, for a couple of very, very cold days in December 2017. I went back in June of the same year and was able to spend a long afternoon roaming around the Bushwick Collective. The light wasn't great, but the art is as good as I'd heard. It'll be a lot of fun to return and see what's changed.

Melbourne is considered by many to be one of the major epicenters for street art in the world, and for good reason. Ever since I began this project I've wanted to get down there and spend some time exploring the laneways for sprayed treasure. I got my chance, hopefully just the first of many, in March 2017, and think it's a treasure trove. Melbourne is a fantastic, diverse and creative city and it's quite literally painted all over with it. Inside this gallery you'll find everything from the abstract and sublime to the hyper-realistic, and, despite the volume, this is a small sample of what this amazing city had to offer.

Miami has some of the best street art I've seen, and I've only seen the smallest bit of it. My first visit I spent a very hot and very bright afternoon walking around Wynwood, which is well known for its breweries, shops, galleries and an enormous selection of diverse and amazing graffiti and street art. On my second visit, I found a lot more to love and I’ll be trying to go back every once in awhile, with a hope of branching out to other areas. I think Miami has a lot of hidden gems.

I've been to Reykjavík a few times now and it's a remarkable place in many ways. Street art is plentiful, and beautiful, if a bit hard to capture, which is a bit strange considering how well Iceland photographs. The streets are chilly, but great for walking, with a nice surprise around almost every corner, and works from many locals and world-renowned artists who come in for events like Iceland Airwaves.

I was born in Boulder, Colorado. I have a special attachment to the area and love to visit as often as I can. Turns out that Denver has a thriving and active street art scene, that I’ve only just begun to explore. Watch this space for more.

I’d been wanting to get to Honolulu’s Kakaʻako district to see some of the amazing art created there every year for Pow! Wow! Hawaii! and I had an opportunity in 2018. It didn’t disappoint. Shooting was a bit hard, as one day it was pouring rain and there were parked cars everywhere and the other I had to contend with brilliant sunshine (I know, good problem to have) but I managed to get quite a few captures that, I think anyway, cover the spectacular variety of the art there. Would love to go back sometime and add to this collection.

Los Angeles is so spread out it presents some significant challenges for an intrepid street art explorer, but if you’re willing to spend some time driving around, and don’t mind some of that sweet, sweet California sun in your eyes, there’s a lot of fun stuff to be found.
Los Angeles, California, USA, 2019
Here you'll find a collection of photos from all over the place, the little art-bedecked nooks and crannies of the places I've been, as well as remixes and other odd one-offs.

Had a fantastic trip to the Alps and Black Forest in the spring. The weather was crazy, the scenery amazing and while the street art was fairly elusive, I was able to find some good art on the streets of Basel, Luzern, Zurich, Freiburg and Munich.
